Bell Bridge Books Launches Its "Light Side" with Four Southern Novels

BelleBooks' new division, Bell Bridge, proudly announces two never-before-published novels and two reprint titles. All four novels will be published in July 2008, kicking off a multi-tiered publishing program that will include general fiction (the light side of Bell Bridge) as well as a strong emphasis on fantasy fiction (the dark side.)

BOOTH'S SISTER, by Civil War scholar Jane Singer, tells the riveting story of Asia Booth, John Wilkes' Booth beloved sister, muse and mentor. From their turbulent childhoods as the illegitimate children of famed actor Junius Booth to their strained relationship as adults on opposite sides of the Civil War, BOOTH'S SISTER follows the tragic evolution -- and eventual destruction -- of the Booth family. Inspired by Asia Booth's own memoirs.

EGRET COVE, by Margaret Nava, is a fun, warm-hearted, uplifting "Hen Lit" story about a sixty-something Indiana woman who moves to the wild world of South Florida and re-discovers her joy for life. Filled with colorful characters and heartfelt moments, this novel by Nava, known best as a travel writer, will take readers on a fun visit to various Florida hotspots.

SWEET HUSH, by NYT bestseller Deborah Smith, is women's fiction and romance on a grand scale. When Georgia apple farmer "Sweet Hush" McGillan's Harvard-student son elopes with the President's daughter, Hush's quiet life turns upside down. This re-issue of an out-of-print novel includes a follow-up short story and readers' guide.

CHARMING GRACE, by NYT bestseller Deborah Smith, is more great women's fiction with a larger-than-life plot. Georgia beauty queen Grace Vance is determined to keep bombastic Hollywood action star Stone Senterra from making a cheesy movie about her law-officer husband's heroic life and death. But Grace never counted on falling in love with Senterra's long-suffering bodyguard, a handsome Cajun ex-con whose earthy charm is hard to resist. This re-issue of another out-of-print Smith novel includes a readers' guide.
